Central Virginia Double Rainbow

On the drive home from south Alabama (15 hours, each way) - we were caught up in a sudden downpour just north of Richmond. About this same time, my eldest daughter desperately needed a pit-stop - so we pulled off at the first fast-food place we found. As we pulled into the parking lot, the rain suddenly stopped and the sun came out... producing the brightest, most intense double rainbow I've ever seen. Of course, even my D3 didn't do justice to God's spectacular post-downpour paint job.

Two New Portrait Subjects On The Way...

Yes, the rumors are true. My best friend, beautiful wife, and co-owner of Towner Jones Photography - Rose - has a couple new models for me. The two of them should make their debut and be ready for the studio around November of this year.

Your prayers for the continued health of mom and the little ones is always appreciated.

Another from Charleston...

Here's another from last month's trip to Charleston, South Carolina. I've got to go back there for more than just a single morning outing... it's just to pretty a town for such a short visit.

Colonial Williamsburg Photowalk Photos

First of all, let me thank my fellow photowalkers who came out on Saturday, braving unseasonable 90+ degree temperatures, to capture some excellent shots of Colonial Williamsburg. Here's the crew just before we started off...

The photo below is my first image rendered using Adobe Photoshop CS4's focal point stacking feature.

Another neat experience from the photowalk... We came across a couple getting married in a small ceremony under one of the oak trees on the property. Chris Breedlove and I jumped in (impromptu) and served as their wedding photographers. I'll share some of those pics soon.

Photowalk Tomorrow

Looking forward to seeing everyone at tomorrow's photowalk in Colonial Williamsburg. The weather is supposed to be absolutely beautiful and I think we're in for a great day!

A number of folks have emailed asking about directions and parking. From what I've found online, here's the best map and directions to parking for Merchant's Square.
