BorrowLenses.com - Renting a Lens (part 3)

So I owe you a couple shots from the Sigma 8mm fisheye lens that I rented to document the whole BorrowLenses.com process. Before I returned the lens last Thursday, I stopped by one of my favorite local photography locations, the Manassas National Battlefield Park. 

I'm definitely not a pro when it comes to using a fisheye. For me, this is a difficult lens to compose, and I consistantly found my feet in the photograph! (180-degree field of view, means 180-degrees up and down as well as left to right in this case!) However, I managed to capture a couple imaging I liked. Including an HDR of Stone Bridge and another shot of the cannon battery that I used for an HDR shot I shared on the blog last year.

As far as returning the lens to BorrowLenses.com was concerned, things were easy. Included in the original package was a FedEx return label. I simply repackaged the lens in the box it came in, packing taped the box shut, and slapped the return label on the outside. After that, a quick stop to drop it off at the FedEx Kinkos in Manassas and the transaction was complete.

Yesterday, after receiving the lens and processing it (making sure it was clean, and in good condition) - I received an email from BorrowLenses.com thanking me for taking care of the lens, thanking me for my patronage, and asking me to fill out a brief customer satisfaction survey. From start to finish this was a great experience.

Very simple, and a great value. I recommend BorrowLenses.com to anyone who has a need for a particular lens for a short assignment or just wants to try out a lens before purchase.
