How-To: Create a Tilt-Shift Effect Using FocalPoint 2

Want to snag a copy of the above video? You can download it by right clicking, here.

Thought I'd start off the week with a quick "how-to" utilizing one of my favorite tools, FocalPoint 2, from onOne Software's Plug-In Suite 5. In the demo, I'll show you how to generate a pretty popular effect - a tilt-shift which gives the illusion of shooting a miniature model of a city. You'll want to maximize the video to full screen for best viewing.

I'm looking forward to your feedback. Have a great week!

P.S. Interested in buying something from onOne? They've given us a coupon code to share - TJP10 - to save 20% off everything in their online store.

Darn I commented this in the wrong post so here it is again: I apologize.

Hi Rob,

Having won the onOne suite 5.0 from this website I thought it only fair that I try my hand at one of your tutorials. I have been sitting on a photo that I thought might be a good one to use for the tilt-shift effect so when I finally had some time I re-opened this tutorial and followed your example.

Here is a link to where you can find the results: http://www.creativeashes.com/harrisburg-courtyard/?preview=true&preview_id=1028&preview_nonce=4d55adeb67

It says private because the link provided is the only way to the photo. But of course all who read this are invited. It's only private since I'm not sure I want to include the photo in my galleries.

Thank you for your website.

Chip

PS I should say that although I am still learning the ins and outs of onOne I have been having a lot of fun with it.
