Making New Photos Look Old

Just a quick post today, gang. I've taken a photo of the Jefferson Memorial just after sunrise and given it a quick effect to make it look "old". Keep in mind, there are a hundred techniques for doing this and I chose this one because it could be accomplished very quickly with a decent result and very little hand-holding of the tools. This was accomplished by applying a split-toning preset in Lightroom and then adding a old photograph "frame" using onOne's PhotoFrame 4.5 Professional

Here's the before and after images:

Neat! This would be interesting to see in the how-to series.

Hi Rob,

Having won the onOne suite 5.0 from this website I thought it only fair that I try my hand at one of your tutorials. I have been sitting on a photo that I thought might be a good one to use for the tilt-shift effect so when I finally had some time I re-opened this tutorial and followed your example.

Here is a link to where you can find the results: http://www.creativeashes.com/harrisburg-courtyard/?preview=true&preview_id=1028&preview_nonce=4d55adeb67

It says private because the link provided is the only way to the photo. But of course all who read this are invited. It's only private since I'm not sure I want to include the photo in my galleries.

Thank you for your website.

Chip

PS I should say that although I am still learning the ins and outs of onOne I have been having a lot of fun with it.
