Snow Day Randomness

Hi gang.  Welcome to a special snow day edition of the blog.  My goal for today is to share with you a few odds and ends and then try to stay warm...

The DC area got about 10-20 inches of additional snow since I took these photos. They're calling it the DC Snowpocalypse... and it truly is crazy around here. The federal government has been shut down all week. That's the most consecutive days of closure in U.S. history.

As an interesting side note, today's blog entry was written entirely using the dictation capabilities of Windows 7.  I'm extremely impressed at how accurate it takes dictation and I'm looking forward to being able to sit here and talk my way through these blog entries in the future.  One final thing to mention I didn't have to buy any special software and I'm currently using the Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 headset in microphone combo – which was under thirty bucks.  Pretty cool if you asked me.
